Purifier problems
TDS is too high after purification
You checked with a TDS meter and the purified water reads higher than it should.
What it usually turns out to be.
In roughly the order we find them.
- The RO membrane has aged and is passing more dissolved salts than it used to.
- The TDS controller is set too high, so more raw water is being blended back in.
- The membrane was never the right rating for your input water — this happens with borewell water.
What we
actually do.
We measure both input and output TDS. If the membrane is done it is replaced; if the controller is simply blending too much, that is adjusted and costs you nothing extra.
Parts, if any are needed, are charged at the prices on our spare-parts list — and the technician tells you the amount before fitting anything.
